| my concert in a nutshell~ |

lmao okay so although it was a great concert, i'm sure it wasn't way too different than any other concert; i've just been so excited to see panic, hah.
okay, first, i got to meet them. it wasn't a meet and greet thing, but apparently yesterday was record store day, so they did a signing in waterloo records. one thing that was really cool is that when they passed out wrist bands (for people to meet patd), panic made sure that they were numbered, so that everyone that came and got a wrist band could meet them, and they'd get their own spot in line too. i was 21st and rachel was 22nd, so we were a few of the first people to see them. it wasn't anything special - we just got to say hi and get shit signed, you know. but i was freaking the fuck out, lmao. i was like :DDDD the whole time. it was so cool because, you know, they were RIGHT THERE. they signed my box set (pictures later). when i came up brendon was all, 'let's do this, fools' and when jon signed mine he said 'nice one, jon' and then when my boxset was passed over to spencer, he looked at me and asked me how i was doing. all i could say was, 'good', of course, but i appreciated the gesture. LMAO and his facial hair was pretty amazing. but i just realized i forgot to look at ryan's fingers. :\ whatever. ahaha and as i was heading away from the table they were at, there was this ledge. I TRIPPED OVER IT. lmao i almost fell on my face. i think i heard ryan laughing, but it could've been anyone, so i doubt it was him.
afterwards we drove straight to the venue. rachel and i got okay spots, and right after, phantom planet came on. they were great! they all had a lot of energy and were talking and messing around, all that. the lead singer's guitar string broke on stage, but he handled it really well. LOL and after they played the last song, the lead singer said, 'so, yeah, we'll be at the merch stand if you want to meet us or buy stuff. but, uh, i don't know where it is, so if you guys could crowd surf me there that would be awesome.' the middle section didn't want to, so my section did, and it was great. i'm definitely gonna check them out. i sort of felt bad for them, though, because throughout most of the show, ryan was lurking in the back. he was watching them. towards the end of their set brendon was there too, and he was playing air guitaring. it was hilarious, but obviously most of the crowd's attention was towards brendon and ryan rather than the band. but after PP finished, ryan and brendon crossed to the other side of the stage and brendon was holding on to ryan, lmao. it was great. spencer and jon crossed over too but spencer was looking at us like 'wtf r u doin?' because everyone went mad when he came out. it was cool, though.
the hush sound was next, and i loved them! they played wine red, we intertwined, molasses, honey, as you cry, crawling towards the sun, and something else i can't quite remember. their set wasn't too exciting but it was really cool. they talked about how they loved texas and how austin ~their favorite place evar~. it was cool, though. bob definitely wasn't bad and greta was great, although a lot of people around me said that greta always sucked live. i definitely disagree; imo it sounded like the record. not a lot of people were singing along to most of the songs, but that was alright. they had two balloons in the crowd, although i didn't get to touch one because no one passed it to my side of the crowd. oh well, whatever. i wanted to get a THS shirt, but the line at the merch table was way too long. they were also meeting people, but i didn't go over to see them.
after them was motion city soundtrack. i'm not a fan of them, personally, but they aren't that bad of a band. by this time, though, my back started to hurt and my knees were aching, so i was growing kind of impatient. their set lasted forty minutes, but they played 0505358349053 songs, it seemed like. i just got kind of annoyed with them because they kept saying things that sounded like goodbyes, but then they played other songs. they even stopped in the middle of a song. idk, i was probably just annoyed because i really wanted to see patd and i was dehydrated and aching everywhere. they weren't bad, though, and a ton of people left after their set because that's who they wanted to see.
okayyyy, panic, finally. since i had gotten a few cuts in the moshpit area, rachel and i decided it was best to just move under the balcony. we got really good, clear spots. i could see every member of the band. of course, when they came out, the first thing brendon said was 'i'm finally legal so i can drink now!' and took a sip of his beer. jon came out looking really cool with these fancy sunglasses, but they fell off like a minute into the show, so whatever. spencer was hardcore with his drumming and ryan pretty much just stood there. they played we're so starving, nine in the afternoon, camisado, i write sins, time to dance, i constantly thank god for esteban, she's a handsome woman, the only difference, there's a good reason these tables are numbered, mad as rabbits, folking around, behind the sea, northern downpour, that green gentleman, pas de cheval, and lying. there was some guitar/bass sex between ryan and jon a few times, but there were some ryden moments, which was awesome. brendon nuzzled ryan three times. after she's a handsome woman, apparently ryan played the wrong thing, but brendon was like 'technically, there's no such thing as a wrong song, you know.' and ryan said, 'yeah, that's pretty amazing.' and then brendon said, 'i always think you're amazing, ryan.' LOL it was adorable. also, ryan made this speech before lying about how that, if you're single, you should find your true love after the song. and he was looking at brendon the WHOLE TIME. they also whispered things to each other throughout the show. also, a few times, brendon went up and played next to spencer. after he was done he did this fancy jump, which was pretty cool. LOL and brendon did a literal ROFL in the middle of the show. i'm not really sure what happened, but for some reason ryan was like 'lolwut?' and whatever he was lolwut-ing about made brendon laugh so hard that he put down his beer and he rolled around on the floor. ETA: and after they played this one song, they randomly were like 'k well bye' and left and the lights went out, but obviously something was up since they didn't play mad as rabbits, so everyone was like PANIC PANIC PANIC and brendon came out and played time to dance acoustically. afterwards the whole band came out and they played pas de cheval and mad as rabbits. so, you know, yeah.
a bunch of other shit happened that i'll probably remember later and edit in, so yeah.
